報告人簡介：
Prof. Alonso received his PhD in 1973 from Northwestern University. He has been full Professor at UPC-Barcelona since 1986 and member of the Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain since 1995. His area of expertise includes, unsaturated soil mechanics, rock mechanics, thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of soils, embankment dams and slope stability. Prof. Alonso is the current Editor of Géotechnique and former chairman of Technical Committee TC 106 (Unsaturated soils) of ISSMGE. Prof. Alonso has received numerous international awards including Thomas Telford Medal (1994 & 2006, ICE, UK), 10th Arrigo Croce Lecture (2011, Italian Geotechnical Association), 1st Heim Lecture (2012, International Society of Landslides), 30th Rocha Lecture (2013, Portuguese Geotechnical Society), Mont Terri Award (2014, Swiss Federal Office of Geology).
